HOW TO STORE AAS & PEPTIDES
How to

1. Introduction

Proper storage of anabolic-androgenic steroids (AAS) is essential for maintaining potency, safety, and sterility. This article will teach you where and how to store your medications, how to recognize compromised vials or tablets, and what to avoid to ensure your products remain safe and effective.

2. Why Proper Storage Matters

Performance Enhancing Drugs, especially injectable AAS and reconstituted peptides, are sensitive to heat, light, and contamination. Poor storage conditions can lead to:

  • Degradation of the active hormone, reducing potency
  • Bacterial or fungal contamination in injectable products
  • Changes in color or consistency of oil-based solutions
  • Reduced shelf life and potential health risks

Proper storage protects both your health and the money you have invested in your PEDs.

3. General Storage Guidelines

Temperature

  • Store injectable AAS at controlled room temperature: 20–25°C (68–77°F).
  • Avoid refrigeration. Cold storage can cause the oil carrier to thicken or crystallize.
  • For peptides (like HCG, HGH, GLP-1s, BPC-156, TB-500 or GHRPs, among many others), refrigeration is always required after reconstitution with sterile or bacteriostatic water: 2–8°C (36–46°F). Storing unreconstituted peptide vials at room temperature is fine.

Light Exposure

  • ⚠️ Keep vials and ampoules away from UV light. Do not store vials on counters, windowsills, or under direct light.

Humidity

  • Store tablets and capsules in a dry location, away from bathrooms or kitchens where humidity fluctuates.
  • Keep desiccant packs (the small “do not eat” packets) inside tablet containers.

Handling

  • Always wash your hands before handling any medication.
  • Clean vial tops with alcohol swabs before and after every puncture.
  • Never share vials or reuse needles/syringes.

Transport

  • When traveling, keep vials or pens in a temperature-controlled case, away from direct sunlight or car dashboards.
  • For air travel, store medications in your carry-on bag.

4. Injectable Vials and Ampoules

  • Keep multi-dose vials upright and tightly sealed after each use.
  • Once punctured, most vials should be used within 28–60 days, depending on the product.
  • Inspect before each injection:
⚠️ Do not use if the solution is cloudy, has floating particles, or has changed color.
⚠️ Do not use if the vial is cracked, the rubber stopper is damaged, or sterility is uncertain.
  • Wipe the top with an alcohol pad before every draw.
  • Store away from heat sources, radiators, and direct sunlight.

5. Tablet and Capsule Storage

  • Keep in the original, labeled container with the cap tightly closed.
  • Store in a cool, dry environment, ideally between 15–25°C (59–77°F).
  • Discard any tablets that have changed color, smell, or show signs of moisture or mold damage.

6. Reconstituted Peptides and Hormones

  • Reconstitute only with sterile water (for single use vials or ampoules) or bacteriostatic water.
  • Label each vial with the date mixed.
  • Store refrigerated between 2–8°C (36–46°F).
  • Avoid freezing; this can denature the peptide.
  • Discard unused reconstituted products after 30 days, or as directed on the vial’s label.

7. Safety and Disposal

  • Store all medications in a secure cabinet or lockbox, away from children and pets.
  • Keep away from extreme heat or cold (e.g., cars, garages, bathrooms).
  • Never pour or throw medications into household trash or wastewater.

8. Signs Your Medication May Be Compromised

⚠️ Stop using a compound if you see:

  • Cloudiness, clumping, or precipitate in oil-based injectables
  • Change in color or odor
  • Visible particles or debris in vials
  • Cracked glass or leaking ampoules
  • Unusual pain, redness, or swelling after an injection

These signs may indicate contamination or degradation.
