Product Description:
What it is and How it Works
Femara, the trade name for Letrozole, is a very strong non-steroidal aromatase inhibitor (AI). It works by blocking the aromatase enzyme, preventing the conversion of Testosterone into estrogen. Compared to other AIs, Letrozole is among the most potent, capable of reducing estrogen levels by more than 90%.
This makes it extremely effective for controlling estrogen-related side effects such as gynecomastia, bloating, and water retention in athletes using aromatizing steroids. However, over-suppression of estrogen can cause severe side effects, including joint pain, low libido, poor mood, fatigue, and cardiovascular strain from worsened cholesterol levels.
How is it used?
Femara is taken orally and has a long half-life of around 2 to 4 days, which allows for flexible dosing schedules. It is generally used when milder AIs like Anastrozole or Exemestane are not strong enough, or in situations where estrogen is excessively high and/or causing gynecomastia. Because it is so strong, it is rarely a first-line choice for cycle support.
Dose
This product is dosed at 2.5mg per tablet × 50 tablets per sachet. Performance use typically ranges from 0.25mg to 1.25mg every other day, with higher doses (up to 2.5mg daily) reserved for extreme cases of estrogen-related issues. Dosing must always be based on bloodwork to avoid crashing estrogen completely.
Advice From BTW
- Use cautiously
Letrozole is extremely strong, only use it if milder AIs are insufficient.
- Always base on bloodwork
Guessing with Letrozole can destroy estrogen balance and cause major side effects.
- Short-term solution
Best for managing severe estrogen spikes, not long-term maintenance.
- Protect joint and mood health
Crashing estrogen will negatively affect both.
- Consider rotating
Use Exemestane or Anastrozole for general cycle support, and keep Letrozole as a backup tool.
FAQs
- Is Letrozole stronger than Anastrozole or Exemestane?
Yes, Letrozole is significantly stronger and is capable of reducing estrogen levels by more than 90%.
- Can Femara completely crash estrogen?
Yes, at full doses it can almost completely eliminate estrogen, which is dangerous and unhealthy.
- When should Letrozole be used?
Only when estrogen is very high, when gynecomastia is occurring or when milder AIs are not effective.
- Can Letrozole reverse gyno?
It may help reduce early-stage gynecomastia, but surgery is often required for long-standing cases.
- Is Femara safe for long-term use?
Not recommended. Long-term use can lead to severe joint pain, low libido, poor cholesterol, and overall hormonal imbalance.
